Kim and Steve Join Forces to Strengthen WMI

May 14, 2010 - Jacksonville, FL-based Workplace Management Inc. (WMI) announces a new partnership between its principal, Steve Blake, and his fiancée, Kim Schank, to provide LEAN Six Sigma as well as QuickBooks tools for small businesses.  Alongside a renewed emphasis that offers accounting assistance, the troubleshooting techniques learned as part of the recent Black Belt curriculum will enable WMI to better serve those customers desiring to improve financial reporting and operating processes.  In the past WMI has produced process maps as well as project management tools and services for its customers.  By earning these credentials, WMI lets prospects know they are serious about tuning-up small businesses.

Process ManagementIn a nutshell, all work is a process with inherent variation and the more of it in an operation, the less quality prevails.  To address this challenge, companies hire consultants at considerable expense to generate recommendations for improving efficiency and perhaps morale, whereas WMI and management collaborate to document existing work flows as a baseline, thus developing a continuous improvement tool.  For companies unfamiliar with business process flow diagrams or even without written procedures, this documentation becomes employee-owned and dynamic, unlike the consultant cookbook boilerplate, dormant on a shelf.  After value-streaming the decision-driven work processes, performance metrics are added, providing a basis for the application of Six Sigma tools to improve operations.

Project Management - WMI also provides project-specific tools that can improve work scope determination, delegation of responsibility, progress tracking, and management of field requests as well as services including EPC estimating, subcontractor/vendor solicitation, field monitoring, and change orders.

We look forward to speaking with you soon regarding your business challenges.
